Been reading a bit recently about the Churchill tank
I always thought the big intakes on the side were for the engine itself. But I saw a cut-away recently and saw that the engine intakes and filters are actually in the crew compartment
The side intakes are for radiator cooling

She's not actually fish related, Salmon is a novel organism, she just calls herself Salmon. She can produce a cloaking field of sorts from neuron based circuitry in her skin, but surfaces that absorb light interfere with it
