but here's an idea! choose whether Perlweiss or Ebenholz, and you may draw any kind of wear on them ,including armour or spicysome!

The real culprit though is the vast differences in artstyles, from cel-shaded Disgaea/TWEWY to suddenly full rendered armour
There are of course artists who can change up their style, and those are unicorns blessed with the divine finger of God, but this is not one such case
