Bakunawa and the Seven Moons, it's worth the read. It's my first time knowing that this mythology exists. I hope one day our local film makers would make a movie based in our ancient cultures.

Which explains choice of RED for his & Búlan's locks. As a reminder of the Sun's presence, energy, & strength in the times the Bakunawa will try to steal his show.++

Gino Bakunawa???

I don't think a lot of people know that Bibi is from Bb. as in "binibini" (like Ms. in English). So if ever I have a male form his name would be Gino, short for Ginoo. https://t.co/TIcRkKzym1

At the center of many Filipino myths is the Bakunawa, a dragon-like being whose movements inspire Filipino spiritual calendars. With a single horn, it takes on different roles in different regions, causing eclipses to the Cebuano and Bicolano via eating the moon

This is one of the cultural legends that will be included in the Oceans expansion later this year.

Long ago in the Philippines, seven moons lit up the night sky until the serpent Bakunawa swallowed six of them. Every lunar eclipse, Bakunawa attempts to eat the last moon.

My Bakunawa art last 2021. I had a little tradition of making Bakunawa art every year to see the differences in my artstyle.

I'm torn between Diaeer or Diaragon

Based on the Philippine spottoled deer and the Bakunawa which is a Philippine dragon

akutagawa as bakunawa that no one asked for. (yeah, his dragon form fjnfjfnd)

bakunawa is a dragon/sea serpent from the philippine mythology who devours the moon (or moons), and is said to be the cause of eclipses.

The original image by Paul Quiroga from our $4,000 milestone post! In the Laho/Bakunawa are known as the Devourers of Light... both literally and metaphorically.

Adventure I used and reskinned is 's Worm Crawls, turning the wurm into a deformed bakunawa. I recreated the map using Hex Kit, tho I couldn't purchase the intended hex tiles for this.
Random tables entries were reskinned using reference books to match the setting.
