I have it on good authority that #batgirls 14 is amazing so I'm logging back into this twitter to say you guys should get it. And I need that Artgerm cover.
I know it’s slightly controversial but I’m finally reading Batgirls 2021 and so far(just finished issue 8) it’s one of my favorite comic series in years It checks all my box’s
Nightwing (Jan2022) #86
Nightwing, the Batgirls and Robin break into Skybase-01 looking for Seer, but she’s not working for Simon Saint. Writer Tom Taylor, Artist Robbi Rodriguez, Colorist Adriano Lucas: Fun and full of energy, but disappointing the story’s TBC in Batgirls. 4/4
I can see where it probably comes from. The above panels are from a Birds of Prey story, and BATGIRLS #13 full-on shouts out Gail Simone's BoP run, which did a lot to humanize Shiva.
Even going further back...
[DC] trying this again 😔🙏 batgirls art

Steph & Damian, the vegetarians of the Batfamily (for those who don't read Batgirls that's Steph in Cass's body)
In issue 11 of Batgirls Steph says she’s thinking of dropping meat from her diet & in issue 13 (in Cass’s body) she says that she’s vegetarian now

So I guess my final word on this annual is... see you all in about a week and a half when BATGIRLS #13 comes out!
Then we'll see what's what.
It's (nearly) the end of the year as we know it, but we have one last Lady Shiva appearance to look at -- or at least, half of one. It's the BATGIRLS 2022 ANNUAL! Let's talk about it! Full spoilers and some grumbling ahead:
