Armadillos have not been extensively studied in the wild however they are solitary and nocturnal, spending most of the day in their burrows. These armadillos however cannot roll themselves into a ball to escape predators and will burrow to get away.
Name: Burrowing Gnarlid
Scientific name: Amphicaris Gnarlidius
It gets its name from the way it burrows itself in marshes & tall grass, disguising
itself as a large acorn. The creature's hard-plated back also serves as a shield, making its stomach & face the central weak spots https://t.co/gC7HaofyIt

These little critters are called Dust Diggers. We think they're a cross between a road runner and some kind of sand lizard. either way you best be careful around their burrows, when they dig they can spray sand up to 10 ft in the air!.

The image of the Sadoc Burrows leading Harfoot children, wearing straw hats with possible apple symbolism, in a ceremony brings to mind another creature illustrated covered in apples: the hedgehog in medieval Bestiaries (Books of Beasts).🧵19/
