@climataku Toriyama drew Goku and Chichi's wedding moment on the title page of Chapter 171. This slice-of-life scene is what the anime used as their starting point for the episodes. So Toriyama suggests that Goku and Chichi wore these clothes. Plus, Goku agreed to marry her at the 23rd TB.
@BrettSfire I don't want to assume their wedding was based off of Western tradition because we have such little evidence of it. The only thing that Toriyama drew was the title page of Chapter 171. Then there's the anime filler arc of Dragon Ball where they chase after Chichi's wedding dress.

I made this back in 2013, when battle of the gods premiered in Mexico :P I designed Chichi's track suit based on the color of her outfit in the movie ❤️❤️
Character design concept: Teenage Pan with Piccolo's outfit (sorta) but modeled after 23TB Chichi's look.
Why the angry look? I kinda imagined that Goku leaving her behind to train Oob instead made her really angry and fueled her ambition to be stronger than Goku's student
Chichi's chichis~❤️
If you're expecting a long walk on the beach, prepare to run. Chichi is crazy fast and does not hold back. She's hard to read, and acts like she doesn't want you around, but set up a competitive sport, like Volley Ball and you'll see the wild animal in her.
