As much as I like TLTS it’s a really big shame these designs never got used for the fully screwball Bob Clampett energy cartoons they were meant for initially since these designs would’ve worked amazingly in with that tone and animation style

Gotta love Clampett's portrayal of Daffy.

And if you look at a lot of clampett’s cartoons you can see how ren and stimpy drew inspiration with how crazy and energetic the characters are drawn, of course ren and stimpy definitely takes it to another level

Well you know stimpy’s design is inspired by a clampett cartoon
Specifically the cats in the cartoon gruesome twosome

I love how Pete Browngardt has directed two Bugs shorts that are new takes on two specific Clampett shorts with the two characters who are notorious for outsmarting Bugs and getting under his skin.

These shorts in particular feel like such a loving homage to Clampett from Pete.

And let's not forget when Bob Clampett and Mike Lah tried their hand at it https://t.co/AKz1HDPKlF

One of the things I love about Looney Tunes Cartoons is that some shorts really harken back to elements of the Clampett/Avery Bugs.

What I mean by that is that he either doesn’t always win, isn’t always in control, and actually gets upset.

The Film Fan (1939) is the 268th Looney Tunes short and it gets my commentary treatment here https://t.co/y7VHRHXJeD! Eli Copperman once again joins me for a solid film themed Porky Short

Cigarettes the Cat looks very much like a Bob Clampett-style Looney Tunes characters in Episode 7 of Spümcø's Weekend Pussy Hunt; am I right?

Jim Smith & Aaron Springer shared layout, while Matt Danner animated (and did clean-up with Fred Osmond, Ray Morelli & Todd White)
