I love how Pete Browngardt has directed two Bugs shorts that are new takes on two specific Clampett shorts with the two characters who are notorious for outsmarting Bugs and getting under his skin.

These shorts in particular feel like such a loving homage to Clampett from Pete.

One of the things I love about Looney Tunes Cartoons is that some shorts really harken back to elements of the Clampett/Avery Bugs.

What I mean by that is that he either doesn’t always win, isn’t always in control, and actually gets upset.

The Film Fan (1939) is the 268th Looney Tunes short and it gets my commentary treatment here https://t.co/y7VHRHXJeD! Eli Copperman once again joins me for a solid film themed Porky Short

Cigarettes the Cat looks very much like a Bob Clampett-style Looney Tunes characters in Episode 7 of Spümcø's Weekend Pussy Hunt; am I right?

Jim Smith & Aaron Springer shared layout, while Matt Danner animated (and did clean-up with Fred Osmond, Ray Morelli & Todd White)

I like the way Bugs is drawn in Chuck's early 40s cartoons and I hope the next season of the new Looney Tunes shorts could do styles of other WB directors besides Clampett (with a higher level of technical skill than shown here of course)

C is for A Corny Concerto on HBOMax

A parody of a great many Disney films, this short is simply fantastic and yet another feather in the hat of Bob Clampett The music is magical and the animation is superb.

I just realized that Jim Carrey has a Bob Clampett, Daffy Duck cel in the background.

izzy ellis isn't as funny as davis but i like how he draws daffy as an absent-minded goon as he did in the early clampett years

Bob Clampett's work has to be one of my favorites if not the one out of all the Looney Tunes animators

There are so many great frames in less than a second in this shot. I love the particularly wacky screams in this one.

Inspired by a 1930s short in part by Bob Clampett called “Shake your powder puff”. Right around Dot’s (supposed) time.
