Dogger’s Christmas was published in 2020. Dedicated to her children Ed, Tom and Clara, it was Shirley’s final book. Shirley was thrilled by the response to the story.

Later that evening when Dad was cleaning up the Christmas wrapping paper and putting it in a big plastic bag, and Mum was filling the dishwasher they heard a wail. Dave had woken up and wanted Dogger. But where was he?
