Elec and Gas remind me allot of Frieza. Frieza was more refined and intelligent about how he used the info he had at his disposal and Elec like Frieza had a lust for the Dragon Balls. Gas has his ego and his lust for revenge. The new Frieza destroying them both feels symbolic.

Count Elec is a pseudonym for his full name Jack Elecitel. AFAIK even the games in Japanese doesn’t directly say the connection unless you go into extra material.

Finished replaying Mega Man 1 using buster-only! I love the Light Numbers, but they're a pain to defeat. Elec Man was the hardest, Bomb Man the easiest. Elec Man and I fell into a rather peculiar rhythm that somehow allowed me to defeat him. Next is Mega Man & Bass buster only!

i love all the heeters from a design perspective, but man, elec is just so fucking raw. he radiates this calculated sinister energy that is so good. he just has this exaggerated black swagger that can’t be denied. he’s a top five villain design for me at this point.
