DokiDoki is an extremely love-it-or-hate-it, story driven season.

People who say the show has no plot and is just episodic are missing the big picture. Its defs building up to certain things and this episode defs confirms one suspicion a lot of people had. Very excited to see where it goes.

Natsume Yuujinchou anime✅️

Absolutely loved it; masterful episodic storytelling with one of the best main characters I've ever seen. Grew on me more with each season but the last 3 were just amazing. Probably in my top 10 anime.

August: Kekkai Sensen & Beyond

I'm terrible at watching episodic stuff on my own but this is a phenomenal season of anime, episodic storytelling at its finest with an immensely strong and diverse cast of characters, I love this even more than the first season. 10/10

I swear I can't say nothing nice about ghost game without someone saying "it bad cus no plot" BITCH AND? Episodic doesn't mean bad and vice versa ghost game is fantastic at remembering what it's done and bringing it back in the future Clockmon is a fantastic example of this

When Ghost Game was announced as an episodic series I was afraid that I would not like it, but the characters are great, Gammamon and its evolutions are incredible new monsters to the franchise and the series is kind of Digimon - Twilight Zone, which I enjoy.

Thats why sadly a lot of people initially wrote off Rise as a Goofy TeenTitansGo/ThunderCatsRoar Type deal when in reality it was more like an Adventure Time, Gravity Falls etc Deal where it starts off episodic & became Heavy Story. But it was Comedy so Long many didnt vibe w/ it

I feel like when people "episodic shows" they mostly refer to those that are primarily comedies. When a lot of the best action/drama-related series, tend to favor more one-offs that any casual viewer can jump into; even if they're not starting with the pilot.
