New to the internet for from 2019: the tanystropheid Dinocephalosaurus hunts for small fish by uprooting algae. There are things I'd change about this now but this is a "lost" painting - the original Photoshop file is missing. It is what it is.

2 meters long. That may not seem insane compared to T.rex or a Columbian mammoth. But for 480 million years ago, Aegirocassis was downright enormous!

Who needs one Ichthyornis for when you can have 40?! Self-congratulatory salute to et al for a fantastic in-depth look into an awesome near-neornithine bird (even if it can fly).

So for about fossil symbols for , My favorite sawskate (sawfish are convergent on this extinct Cret family), Texatrygon brycensis. These teeth found in Mid Campanian Wahweap Fm. at Bryce, were from a close relative of Lebanopristis and Micropristis.

Today's is about dino combat. et al published a paper this week suggesting ankylosaur club-tails were used in intraspecies fights. Damaged armour on (red below) has been proposed as injuries from the club of another Zuul based on placement!

The Lagerstätten of Lebanon have provided some truly beautiful fossils. This is of one of the more charismatic species: Mimodactylus libanensis. It had Strikingly long wings and teeth only in the front of the snout. Images from Kellner et al., art by
