Dancing around Ardenweald has me back to drawing a ridiculous amount of fauns, satyrs and such again. I have always been a huge sucker hooves and horns! 🐐
I vote that, since 2020 was such a disaster of a year, 2021 should be the year we take strolls with fauns, dine with beavers, share toasts with magical creatures, and rule with compassion and equity from the castle at Cair Paravel. Who's with me?

🎃The Vermont myths differed little from the universal legends of fauns, dryads & satyrs; Wild Wales hinted at strange & terrible hidden races of troglodytes & burrowers. They point to the dreaded Mi-Go or “Abominable Snow-Men” who lurk in the Himalayas🎨John Silva🎃#Lovecraftian

This last one is Caolán, “The Fair.” I hear he had a bit of a flair for the dramatic. A little full of himself. He could be found lounging in the forest, serenading to the local fae, fauns, and fauna. Clove said he reminds her of me. I have no idea what gives her that impression.

@OiShinyThings @NeolithicSheep Goats have long been associated with myths: unicorns (origin is believed to have been derived from goats), the Yule Goat, the mythological goats of Thor--Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, or the chimeras (Chimera, Pan, Faunus, fauns, satyrs, etc)?
They were also sacred to many gods.

felt like drawing one of my fauns, Ciel, again. He was the first OC I uploaded to twitter, iirc. I went all out making him as cute as possible, even if this is just another quick sketchadoodle.
