In IDW's Infiltration comic, Bumblebee's holomatter avatar resembles Lindsay Lohan.
E.J. Su confirmed that this was a deliberate reference by him to Herbie: Fully Loaded, a movie about a girl (Lohan) befriending a sentient Volkswagen. (2006)
for IDW's Stormbringer comic, @SketchyFig designed Thunderwing and his Ultra Mode to be able to easily be turned into a physical toy. A sketch included in the trade paperback even shows exactly how his kibble transforms into it. (2006)
I really like IDW's take on Primus
Legends are legends, made from myths, stories being told by people of ancient times, back when nobody know anything. Have Primus being just a normal ass guy instead of a literal god caress my Atheist mind so much, I love it
Cybertron Primus, ew
in the final issue of IDW's Transformers, Road Rage seems to be drawn via a traced panel of a stock photo of her Masterpiece toy. (2022)
in IDW's comics, Horri-Bull is coloured off-yellow, due to being apparently based on photos of a photodegradated example of his original toy that was once used on his TFWiki page. (2012)
an issue of IDW's RID comic makes Steve The Vehicon an official character. (2015)
Check out some great Batman: The Animated Series work by artist Sean Galloway (The Spectacular Spider-Man)! Galloway provided artwork for IDW's recent Batman: The Animated Series - Under Siege board game and its expansions, some of which is below! #BatmanTAS #DCAU #BTAS #Batman
the name of the Injector-lookalike from Beast Wars Neo infamously has a name that is very hard to translate to English.
Fans initially named him "Rartorata", and that spelling was used in IDW's BW comics. Eventually, "Latolata" was settled on as his official name. (1999-2006)
alienating IDW's core fandom. But of course, Ian Flynn has stated in regards to the Freedom Fighters returning, that they would drastically be redesigned. We could risk having characters be turned into completely different ones, even moreso than what happened with Post-SGW Archie
I'm not really a Sonic artist, I just scratch a thing or two. But, I wanted to try to do something, since IDW's issue #52 is almost there.

Andy Schmidt uses Don Figueroa's Stealth Bomber Megatron design in the pages of IDW's Transformers, without telling or paying him. (2011)
Hasbro then makes the design into a toy, also without credit or compensation. (2014)
WE HAVE OUR COVER!
Massive thanks to @CWingsyun (IDW's Transformers & Beast Wars) for his generosity over this. Not only for the cover but for supporting the CCUK community since the start 😁
More information coming over the week as we prepare to launch on @SmallPressDay!!
Still two of my favorite pixelart covers. IDW's Noir comic book Read Only Memories, based on the game
The next 3 preview pages for Issue #3 of IDW's My Little Pony Generation 5 series.
You might be thinking I've been sitting here doing nothing all this time, but you'd be wrong.
This month alone, check out #Shift #4 in Image! #4, #SisterCrash #5 in #RadiantRed #5 and IDW's [redacted] at #SDCC2022!
(if you like / can spare the time)
IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog #32 features a reference to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.
One of the best examples of how to do licensed comics right is Dan Shoening's art for IDW's Ghostbusters comics.
Rather than trying to capture the likeness of the actors, he captured the characters instead.
