Why I like classic anime - it's not always obvious and simple.
Take for example Leda. On the surface: musical isekai with eye candy, half-naked lady warrior.
BUT!
Then come visuals. Animation, machine and environmental designs... It some places it reminded me Heavy Metal.😶
There's long been a rumor that the hallucination scene in Leda was actually storyboarded by Inomata. In her Animation Works doujin, she confirms that she did storyboards but "doesn't remember the scene".
However, when you read 80s interviews, whenever that scene is brought up...

Also, the backhalf of this arc (we're closer than you think) definitely has WAY more action for reasons you'll understand when we get there. So hopefully that'll make up for the slower bits! For now, I'll leave you these Leda drawings to ponder over. :3

Sometimes I remember this random 1988 magazine illustration by Inomata and I like to imagine it's how Genmu Senki Leda 2 would have looked like had she been on board and Kaname hadn't closed down

Again, the real answer(s) to this are a spoiler (because there's two). I really like how Leda turned out (she went through several iterations before we got here). Solita used to look a lot more like Emperor. And I love Vesna's color scheme. 😁
