The dodo is a large, extinct, flightless bird that was endemic to the island of Mauritius in the Indian Sea. The island was discovered in the early 15th century and the first recorded mention of the dodo was by Dutch sailors in 1568.

New images of MV that ran aground off the coast of The ship hit reefs near Pointe d’Esny on July 25. On today’s (Aug 7th) imagery, the ship is leaking a considerable amount of oil into the ocean & the oil slick is drifting northwest to the shore.
