Saga of the Swamp Thing So, what is most impressive about this arc is how fully-formed John Constantine is as a character, like he just fell easily out of Moore’s head. It helps that he looks like Sting and has information we as an audience are badly wanting.

Mr Moore’s lessons at Ossett Grammar School in the 1960s were a mixture of science, musical hall jokes and outrageous opinions. His wife, also a science teacher, had been badly scarred in a lab accident while carrying out research during World War II. https://t.co/Nd2LmR6Z4W

This is a prime example of what I’m talking about with Moore’s prose.

Yes! His 1st origin debuted in Bill Finger’s “The Man Behind the Red Hood!” in 1951’s Detective Comics 168! This story’s modern retelling is in Alan Moore’s 1988 book Batman: The Killing Joke. I recommend checking out both, fantastic Joker stories! ☺️❤️🃏

The Marble Seat (1865). The most noticeable aspect of Moore’s depiction of women is that he paints women as goddesses & cyphers. There is no sexual objectification but neither is there empathy or sensuality. It’s as if Classical statues have come to life.

July weather ruled by Sirius & madness of the Dog Days:

"King Sol has now got Sirius for his page:
Some heads go wrong & others madly rage
Which robs them of Reason, Wealth & Time,
Oft Murder too – yet most wink at the Crime"
(Moore’s Almanac 1752)

Thor (2018)
Young Thor spends too much time in Midgard for Odin’s liking. Writer Jason Aaron does masterful work in a singular tale of Thor, Odin and Loki. Tony Moore’s fantastic meticulous style is perfect for this tale. 5/5

‘Cold may turn to violent Fevers even at this time of the year, and send some to the Shades... and an eminent Lady is afflicted with much Sorrow, if not Death.’ (Moore’s Almanac, 1801)
