"Essence" is the particles of natural elements, and this also resides in humans & animals in the vein of souls.
Ghost is considered a category of magic... but it's more paranormal take on standard magic elements.
No true necromancy but possible alignment.

This is my sweet boy Crimson. He dabbles in the macabre necromancy. One of his experiments took a wrong turn which could have killed his apprentice if he did not interfere and pull him away. That resorted to him burning half his face of and permanently being scarred.
