Work Process~
Tried to challenge myself to do more narrative illustration, I need to do more studies!
#PortfolioDay
Hello, I am Karin, a Japanese illustrator.
I create a jewel box-like world with narrative stained-glass style illustrations.
I often draw girls with wishes.
If I keep my eyes open, the world is always beautiful.

絵に於ける story や narrative についてはそこまで深く考えていない。ただし1シーンの切り取りとして画面を作れているかとなると実践している人は著しく減るとは思う。
happy valentines day to my fave "doomed by the narrative" couples! #jujutsukaisen
Meiji Gekken: 1874
Ep3
The brutality of this series is nuts.
Based on the same time period and social issues as Kenshin, you can see how the historical setting adds so much more flavor to the narrative. Love me my historical action Anime. https://t.co/Sr3612tOVu
Moon was deeply shocked when her favorite character in the light novel had gone. She promptly began writing a new story and force me to illustrate this part of the narrative. Moon is now depressed 🤧
I have a narrative of silly ideas since she’s 10-20 yrs older; short comic with her & toastbot, Dexter & Deedee visits, more animation, crossover’s with other toon moms, & more. Was also adjusting how I drew her overtime. Thought to pump the brakes on this, it may be too much idk https://t.co/1n9EMjPsay
when they dont know the narrative is as much a love story as it is a tragedy
the way megumi and yuuji’s relationship is about them trying to save each other. but its not enough. just having a conviction is not enough. just having a belief is not enough. jjk’s narrative is ruthless and punishes them for such naïveté over and over again
that fucking cat is dooming them to the narrative https://t.co/aI3dknNBS4
I might possibly extend a few more pages if it helps the narrative a bit smoother. Anyway, here's a sketch of the first page! 🐁🐁🐁 https://t.co/HU1m9aQ8Is
"We need more adaptations that aren't just translations of the source material, but stories that take narrative risks that add a different perspective to the original." https://t.co/KcB2ZVswta
