Predaking seems to employ mass displacement. It's been shown multiple times that his beast mode's big enough to toss around Cybertronians like chew-toys, while his robot mode stands only head and shoulders over Megatron.

I never had Predaking as a kid, and while you could say Daltanious was an inspiration, with the lion chest, but Predaking could almost be thought of as an inspiration of the 90's Brave series of robots...from Exkaiser to Gaogaigar....
