Having watched Vivy's anime first deeply enhanced my novel read of Prototype. The former provided a powerhouse production of soundtrack, animation/choreography, and shot compositions; while the latter provided inner layers of characterization and conceptual sci-fi ideas.

Wall-Might was a gag comic and Carly was introduced as a parody character, so the version of her that appears in that book is more of an unrefined prototype.
