Happy 27th anniversary to Pulseman. This was actually the last title Game Freak worked on before they started work on Pokémon (though they still had a few non-Pokémon titles after this, like Bushi Seiryuuden).
Beat Pulseman last night and came to the conclusion that A) Game Freak peaked early and B) Game Freak should've kept making platformers

@EnginVIR It's such a distinctive look it wouldn't surprise me if it was low-key influential. I always assumed that Pulseman's look was somewhat inspired by him.
I really wish Game Freak would deliver another kick ass platformer like Pulseman or Drill Dozer. Especially Drill Dozer; I love that game so much!
Outside of Pokemon, which I don't play; we've had Little Town Hero and Giga Wrecker..which are both incredibly mediocre.

i used to emulate this game all the time when i was younger but only just now was able to beat it! a really cool piece of history from one of my favorite developers, on top of being a solid platformer with the volteccer being a really fun and unique mechanic
