Romy's hair is actually because of this. Her flips were originally suppose to look like tentacles; it's why the back of her head is more rounded/flat and all the flips creep up the front. (Her sister is themed after an octopus)

using those ideas, i scribbled up all the ideas you see above. Romy was ALMOST Teal/water themed, but I really leaned into the "Sunset" part of "Sunset Terrace". From there it expanded.
Along the way, "Big sister type, I want her the oldest of her friends but not Too old" came in

when i finished KH3, my idea was "I want an OC who can grow in the series, so i need 'two designs'. Younger came first, as a base.
The ideas i had were
-Boyish
-think Squid
-Beach/boardwalk style clothes
-Beachy colors
-"make it work" makeshift weapons

I noticed a lot of people with dog OCs attach to the breeds of the dogs they had growing up. That is sorta the case with Romy... ish.

I had a yellow lab and a golden retriever as a kid. Romy is a toller, they're a bit similar to goldens. My golden was a huge sweetheart too.
