I'd avoid rebooting Halo, but I'd aggressively retcon, reframe and recontextualize media for incoming audiences. I feel the modern Halo fan is too selfish, and this is a decision that is above ego. Many 'beloved' aspects...did not work. In good business, bad products are cut.

The aforementioned robot I was considering harassing... Sunny used to be a character of mine who was organic but went and retconned and revised some stuff to make him the same synthetic species as Kenshar... in fact I was lazy and used the kenshar drawing as a base for one

I think they're left vague now so they don't risk alienating any new players. But they started out explicit, Ocarina of Time is just a fleshed-out retelling of the story from ALttP's manual. It retconned some, but the seven sages sealing Ganon in the Sacred Realm comes from here

Hydra has a big role in her origin and regaining of powers she wasn't originally written like that thought to be a Spider turned human not making that up BTW but this retcon actually works but in doing so makes more related to cap than Spidey!

I'm likely retconning or at least heavily altering Thirteen's whole "I wanna be a hero when I grow up".

She'd still retain her morality, selflessness and personality, but I wanna start her off originally taking the hero job to make ends meet, due to being fired from other jobs.
