Some beautiful BFG paper cell artwork that I was given by Paul Greenall, one of the animators who worked on the film. I wish I had the skills to create something as wonderful as this.

Winding down our inspiring books for 3-7 year olds, we’d be remiss not to use to shout out the power of fiction, via titles like Matilda:

“These books gave Matilda a hopeful and comforting message: You are not alone.”

Happy everyone! Along with Terrance Dicks Roald was my introduction to reading, his wonderfully twisted, dark sense of humour instilled a passion for the written word that’s lasted all my life. Fantastic Mr Fox is still in my all time top ten.

Celebrating 105 years of the magical storyteller on 'Roald Dahl Day' today!

He was a spy, ace fighter pilot, chocolate historian and a medical inventor, but we all love him for the world he created for us in his books! 🌍

"If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it."
