Congratulations on Street Fighter V passing the 5-million sold mark: making it the 8th-best-selling game in Capcom's history. Only Monster Hunter World (+Iceborne), Resident Evil 5, 6, 7 & 2 (Remake) are ahead of it - oh, & the SFC SFII of course! From 1992!!! #streetfighter

Would it surprise you that Fei Long was easy to draw? The SFII era had some simple yet long lasting designs and I really love it. Shout out to Bruce Lee for being such a legend.

What do you mean I skipped someone?

Cammy heel kicks her way into the fray! I was tempted to do her SFII Cammy Camo look but it didn't come out as nicely as I wanted it to, so I went with SFV style instead.

@LilFormers I've notice the green glowing lightning bolt from SFII #1.
Regarding the SFII flyer illustration, Akiman painted it at his parents' home on New Year's Day. At the time, he was working at Capcom as a graphic designer and was afraid that it would be frowned upon to do this illustration in the company's offices.

In my teenage years, I got introduced to fighting games and while I played SFII (mostly non-competitively) the one game that REALLY got me to hit the sticks was...yeah I know, no one's surprised.
J'ai rallumé la super nes et je me suis entrainée en prévision des 3000 têtes à dessiner. JE SUIS PRETE ! Sanzen Atama no Waza !

Capcom Fighting All-Stars covered individual series with three fighters each: Zero, SFII, SFIII, Vampire/Darkstalkers and Warzard/Red Earth. But another group was in the planning stages: SF1! Eagle's CVS2 sprites would join Retsu and a scarless Sagat were planned but scrapped.
SFII Game Boy sprites - both the standard and Super GB versions. Developed by Sun L, this was a strange mix of WW and later upgrades. The biggest change: Claw, Dhalsim & Honda were all absent! Link play and mirror matches were present though knowing who was whom was a challenge!
@Mikeztarp I remember how no one knew what they were saying when SFII first came out. "Token?" "That doesn't make sense!" We just wrote off tatsumaki senpuukyaku as gibberish 😆
Some SFII: WW Chun-Li comparisons from the upcoming book!
SF2ww unused stage elements
Some large foreground chains for Ken's stage. Interestingly, the original sketch for Ken's stage as seen in a SFII artbook included these chains.
They're actually present in the stage in the final game, albeit layered behind all the other backdrops.
Street Fighter V: Pachislot Edition! This featured the V-Rush system and even V-KOs, as if we needed more Roman Numeral systems! The book covers pachislot versions of SFII, the Chun-Li game, all 3 from SFIV, even the iOS/Android one and Slotter Up Core 7 on the PS2. PACHISLOT!
Cammy was that one SFII character that you’ve never played before because your uncle only had championship edition. 16/31

Akiman designed Bulletta but the character was animated by Eri Nakamura / 中村 (who also animated Honda from SFII, Chun-Li from SF0 and Psylocke from X-Men) and Takenori Kimoto / 木本壮紀.
