If you liked Kizu Natsuki’s writing, you will *love* MXTX’s storytelling. While the romance portion has me giggling and kicking my feet in the air, the novel has some really heavy topics. It’s long, but worth it and has a satisfying end (mostly).

Backgrounds were never my strong point so I put effort into focusing on color/texture as that’s great for expressing tones (like in 臥虎藏龍). Having a cultural base also works wonders for storytelling. Anything to cover up the obvious hardliners and lack of perspective from me😅

Finished reading a manga guidebook written by @/burumakun.

It was nice seeing how a 4-koma mangaka approaches the concept of character creation and storytelling.

Also had some really interesting insights regarding the process of story-writing for original works.
