Happy to share this painting from around five years ago already, a Scythian king.
I spent countless hours to get the result I wanted, and the image remained in my portfolio for a pretty long time before replacing it.
Hope you like it!

"Scythian Amazon," Ukrainian stamp from 2002, 40 kopiyka (cents). Wearing a sword, but missing the hip-slung quiver of the steppe warriors. The name Scythian is more familiar, but there were also the Sauromatian / Sarmatian Amazons in Ukraine,

@chapps was working on Scythian stuff tonight, real cool things they got out of this Kurgans, shame so much of it was cast back into ingots...
Happy to share this painting from 5(!) years ago I did as an assignment for mentorships
The painting itself is about the Scythians, (Eurasian nomads from ancient times), endulging in a hallucinogenic ritual. I am excited to revisit this theme for my worldbuilding.
@afilipek3 deer stones, 3-15 ft high carvings on granite about 2,500-3000 years old scattered over the eastern steppes, so your Scythian girl would definitely ride past them in her own time.
My banner on twitter was a WIP of a redo of this piece, but halfway through I realized I just can't top this picture. The Scythian girl is a little too early for those Deer Stones in the background but come on. Deer Stones.
@FeatherFleeks Top 5 mythological creatures:
1. Egyptian gryphons
2. Minoan gryphons
3. Scythian gryphons
4. Greek gryphons (I /suppose/)
5. The majestic moose/bald eagle hippogryph, official cryptid of all half-Canadian, half-Americans.
