One of the many types of Philippine merfolk or Bantay tubig, the Siyokoy is more fish-like in appearance and is often seen swimming with other fierce ocean dwellers like sharks, eels and manta rays.

In Tagalog Mythology, Siyokoy is a mermen that has a human upper body and tentacles or sometimes scaled bodies. He can drown those who are trespassed into territory and eat them alive.
Sirena, the lovely mermaid is likely to be his sister.
