Saga of the Swamp Thing This issue was basically a good ol fashioned monster slugfest, featuring as it does a three-way superhero/villain battle with the side characters caught between. The payoff was strong though, with recent issues building to it well.

So yeah. It's a good read. If you like tournament arc style anime, you enjoy world history and mythology, or simply just wanna see an epic slugfest, then I would definitely recommend Record of Ragnarok

Shamus's Doom debut. Most of these levels were clearly built with a parallel deathmatch function but the penultimate entry has a cool if minimalistic early take on catwalks in the void.

Can even the Mighty Avengers stop the Imortal Hulk? Writer Al Ewing communicates the true devastation of a super-slugfest. Artists Joe Bennett, Rudy José and Paul Mounts combined talents really visualize the repercussions of the visceral violence. 5/5

Mighty Thor (2015)
War Thor stands alone against Mangog! Aaron is the best at emulating the simplicity of a Lee/Kirby epic slugfest, while keeping the tonal complexity of modern comics. Harren/Stewart’s art definitely has a Kirby vibe. 3/5
