Then, it was time to start texturing! I originally tried to recreate the kind of shading style Dragon Ball Fighter Z uses and had a fair bit of success. I couldn't figure out how to make it in Unity though, so I went with simple hand shading instead 😕.

AT LONG LAST they are done. time for me to move onto retopology, UVs, and texturing! thank you so much for guiding me this far and helping me bring my D&D character to life. I can't wait to put some color on them.

Finally finished uv unwrapping (please don't murder me for my hair uv) and I'm on to texturing! It's a bit difficult to get everything right but I've got a pretty good workflow of jumping back and forth between blender and clip studio paint for texture edits!

Your texturing! The details on the different materials really help convey what their meant to be. That fur looks dense and plush. That blade looks painfully sharp. It's little subtleties that speak volumes.

Added details on the retopoed mesh for the lips, nostrils, hand- and feetpaws (main body mesh), the teeth and tongue.
The finer details from the high-res mesh will be baked into the textures of a more animation friendly lower resolution mesh.
