On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I stand with and for my trans brothers and sisters, and I mourn the loss of too many of them to suicide and violence. There has to be something done about the excessive amount of violence against trans women of color.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance.
Today we remember those we've lost to transphobia and discrimination, celebrate our strength in the face of adversity, and commit to fighting transphobia to create a better, safer, and more inclusive world.

Remember those we have lost to hate, violence, and misunderstanding. The ones who were taken from us too soon and those who made the choice themselves. You are greatly missed, and we will never forget you.
