When people talk about retcons, the frustration doesn't come just from the changing of literal events, butchanging of the narrative intent behind them.

hey! I appreciate your vigilance on this, but I think the saturation and other shading might be warping your perception because he's definitely not light! I do need to rework the colors on my c!skep design in the future (hair less saturated, skin undertones mostly)

Yeah, let's get back to the bottom line for a sec. Here's a rewrite I just did that removes the manipulative undertones of what Sonic said to Shadow, so it's more certain that Sonic is appealing to Shadow's humanity— like in Battle, as mentioned before.
