Ethel Ashton was an American artist who was both a subject of Alice Neel and a portraitist of Neel.Her early works reflect the influence of Ashcan realism. She worked on the WPA's mural project and has works in the collections of many museums.

Paintings by Oscar Howe (1915-1983), one of the seminal figures in modern Native American art
Howe grew up on the Crow Creek Reservation and started his career with the WPA South Dakota Artists Project. His works are now displayed at museums and galleries around the world.
