The artistJean-Antoine Watteau visited Britain at some point between 1718 and 1720 where he met the physician Dr Richard Mead to discuss his Ill health. I wonder if during this time he also was introduced to Lord Burlington whom Mead was also his physician? Problem is from 1719
2. Braamcamp owned 380 paintings by great masters, such as Rembrandt's Storm on the Sea at Galilee (sadly stolen), works by Dou, and 10 Metsus! He also collected non-Dutch masters such as Watteau, drawings, ivory objects, statues, silver, Chinese porcelain, Japanese lacquer etc.
