Three of my favorite recent villains: Ikari from the Waid run; Muse from the Soule run; and Lady Bullseye from the Brubaker run. Which is your favorite?

immortal iron fist by matt fraction (co writen by ed brubaker) and david aja. fraction is probably the closest thing marvel has (had) to a jim jarmusch in terms of being able to synthesize a bunch of influences into self referential cool

I think Bendis is only a tiny part of the problem. Yes, it was his Avengers that invaded Utopia, he also wrote the infamous AvX, as did Hickman, Brubaker, Fraction and Aaron, and his X-Men were so cruel to Cyke, but his Cyclops was amazing.

I loved that “Secret Avengers” series (2010-15)! So many of my favorite writers (Ed Brubaker, Nick Spencer, Warren Ellis, Rick Remender) and artists (Mike Deodato, David Aja, Michael Lark, Jamie McKelvie, Kev Walker, Alex Maleev, John Cassaday, Gabriel Hardman) on one title!

Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips showcase why they're still the best crime noir comic creators. Reckless was really good, I couldn't stop reading, and the conclusion was great. In fact, the previous two books all felt like copy cats of the style. (8/10)
