And this picture of him with Will Elder when they were kids is one of the very best photos of cartoonists.

It has been week of controversies at Cartoon Movement, with cartoons about China, Vietnam and Israel sparking international outrage, and, in one case, a campaign to fire one of our cartoonists. Read about it on our blog:

The "eating Tide pods" meme was a real gift for cartoonists. They weren't sure who was doing it or why, but it was definitely happening and DEFINITELY represented a lot about Today's Society
Lynn Johnston is one of the world’s best-known cartoonists. This story is based on facts, but it’s a fictional version of how we imagine Canada’s most famous comic strip might have got its start. https://t.co/48c3fRFakn #CdnHist #WomensHistory

Our Chinese cartoonist, Luojie, just came back to our https://t.co/37FnXuyGoA syndication package after a year away. Although Luojie draws what people think in China, his Trump bashing isn't too different from lots of American cartoonists.

We are extremely sad to hear of the passing of John Jensen. One of the founding members of the Club back in 1960. A phenomenal talent and much loved by his fellow cartoonists. He will be greatly missed.
Jean Veber (1864-1928). Trained as a painter, he became a cartoonist when his brother, Pierre Veber, asked him to join his journal, Gil Blas. Veber's nationalistic drawings soon made him one of France's most popular political cartoonists.
