It's also the fact that Tyler has a really flamboyant and contrived design and I feel like Poppy NEEDS to have something on a similar level to that
They are TV stars after all
Arrogant ones
They will take no less than the absolute best

Out today: & 's Kids Love Batman Podcast answers mail, which means I get to do a cheeky cover, featuring & in a joke so contrived I literally stole composition, titling & ad copy from existing romance novels and just changed some names.

...felt wildly two-dimensional compared to the others I've gotten used to reading and writing about, and the plot felt almost too contrived to suspend my disbelief.

But, over the last two issues, it feels like DeFalco has settled into Angelica's character and improved how he...

...will become a hilariously contrived plot beat–but, sorry, what did Illyana say? She mentions rescuing Kitty BEFORE her brother, parents, or literally anyone else? Interesting.–for the book ahead.

She fought blood lusted Supes more than once, and more often than not she prevailed. This contrived narrative of Supes being so fucking great that he's stronger than the league is a hoax when at least other 3 members are more than a match to him

When the road is blocked for plot contrived reasons. It seems you'll be taking a detour through a mining town.

You may as well fight the Gym leader while you're at it.

Though isn't that kind of overkill to start...?

Instead of wrapping up literally a single ongoing plot point Claremont spent his last Excalibur arc jumping through contrived narrative hoops so he could find an excuse to do an issue where Kitty Pryde becomes a cheerleader. That's Excalibur alright.

welp for some weird contrived reason I'm canon to Plants vs Zombies in China now (look at Zomboss' labcoat in the left pic, the reasoning for this is back in the day I made PvZ flash rigs, and it's pretty clear they took the one with LWB on it from Google images)

Some drawings and sketches that were contrived during one such drawpile session with a dear and wonderful friend. I confess there was most definitely a bit of sentimentality invested into the pictures.

The Monster of Fear
From whisper to shrill cries
The invisible presence in the plasma
Words of caution and contrived caring
But under the kiss hides the fang
Until you discover the friend is the fiend

The riders on the storm of old
We must weather whatever the skies send us
But the greater dangers are closer to the ground
They wear masks of humanity to conceal their plans
You will recognize their contrived solicitude
Whatever help or protection they pretend to offer
Decline...

Meanwhile above what they consider the fray
The happy few prepare secret Christmas parties
Under the guise of their contrived quarantines
They can now remove their mask

Wtf. Sleggar is easily the worst character in Mobile Suit Gundam, and this whole entire Mirai liking Sleggar nonsense is the worst part of this show. It feels so contrived and unnatural, I was never convinced that Mirai fell for this slug, this scene caused me physical pain.

❝Critics used the word ‘illustrator’ as a denigrating label. I resented the implied barrier between illustrator and painter.

Both should be measured by their competence—not by artificial compartments contrived by critics.❞

Help is under way for the 'collaterally damaged'
We must show to the world some contrived compassion

Striking this peculiar weapon like a match generates the same blue sparks that blanket a darkbeast
