I’m back from vacation! And after binge watching all of ‘s latest episodes I had to get back in the saddle and draw one of my favorites. Such a stunning documentary. I have to say I loved Forests and Coasts but Deinocheirus might be my favorite dinosaur.

The dinosaur behaviours in Ep.3 of were refreshing. The riverside T.rex scene was so good I wanted a version without narration, so I could just listen to the vocalisations & environment. Loved the sexually dimorphic raptors but Deinocheirus stole the show.

It takes good hands to play guitar, so have the biggest! Deinocheirus (“terrible hand”) had the longest arms of any bipedal dinosaur at 8 feet long! Unlike its relative the Ornithomimus, this dino was not built to run, but to stand its ground against predators and throw hands!

Dinosaur Facts Been a while, huh?

For 50 years, the only found part of the Deinocheirus skeleton (same family as the Gallimimus) was its giant arms. Throughout those 50 years, only destroyed bones were found of the dinosaur because of fossil poachers.
