I LOVE the Drow race, and specifically, the 3.5 majority evil, matriarchal Drow. I wanted to have a Drow character of some kind, and a companion character to go with Ravisha.

It made sense to make Xulanis a Drow Demonbinder, which was a class from the same book. (2/3)
