The meat hanging around Bacon's Pope was probably a nod to Rembrandt's Carcass Of Beef (1657)
@nemomosso ty i am glad you like it. tbh it was originally set to be a lot more abstract and in the style of expressionism. sys is inspired by woodcuts. but at some point during the process i let go of that idea and just played around with brushes/allowed a bit more details
