Tavares’s work has recently received new acclaim thanks to the efforts of Brazilian film preservationists to restore his filmography.

Also it's a damn shame that Third Window Films will not release more SABU films on Blu-Ray because Dangan Runner (SABU's first film) didn't sell well enough. And the whole SABU filmography deserves to be on Blu-Ray, I wish I had money so I can get this film 😔

If you are a fan of film, you owe it to yourself to visit Satoshi Kon’s filmography. Doesn’t matter whether you’re into animation or not. He conveyed real complex human vulnerabilities with ease, and was a master storyteller at that.
