One thing I really like is that recent MH games have been expanding the number of high tier Fanged Beasts. Originally, it was just Rajang, but now we have Gammoth, Goss Harag, and Garangolm as well.

Not to mention the Apex/Deviant forms of Arzuros and Lagombi.

Alongside Astalos, Gammoth, and Glavenous (The Fated Four)
Mizutsune's first appearance was back in 2015, way before Rise 😅
