I liked Superhero movies & shows more when they were a niche genre, like pulp-hero movies; how every 5 or 10 years or so we'd get a Phantom with Billy Zane, and a Shadow with a pre-insane Alec Baldwin.

Not a new idea, but it's so tasty the way that art catapults you into a different tone. Imagine a simple RPG system, same basic genre, but slathered in totally different art styles. In my brain, they're different games.
