I studied burne hogarth a lot among other things but honestly just pullin up reference every time for a While and getting happy with how things look before going back to no ref helps me.

But the myth must have started by 1755 when Hogarth showed a wounded rioter with his flag lettered "Give us our Eleven Days" (detail of The Election Entertainment Cc,2.182)

AWESOME WORK✨✨

Funny how LDR wasn't the first piece that came to mind when I saw your work. It was 1999’s ‘The Iron Giant’.

The setting reminded me of the scrapyard Hogart and the giant liked spending time✨

Again, I think your work is amazing✨ It's helping my mind travel. https://t.co/k56iWutXxt

199 years ago today at , Sir John Soane purchased Hogarth’s four-part series ‘The Humours of an Election’, a satirical send-up of eighteenth century politics. 🗳️🎨

No word on whether such raucous scenes can be spotted today in Wakefield or Tiverton and Honiton… 😉

"Clutching at Straws" is 35 today and yet again, I'm reminded of Steve Hogarth haunting his predecessor on the sleeve for "Sugar Mice". Turning up like The Watcher before Fish has regenerated.
