I highlighted a scene by animator Manny Gould the other day. It looks like Gould did this *entire* sequence with baby Bugs and Elmer in Bob Clampett's THE OLD GRAY HARE ('44). (The afternoon nap gag might be another animator, but it has similar drawing and timing to Gould.)

My biggest influences are Looney Tunes (mainly the works of Bob Clampett and Tex Avery) and Ren & Stimpy (and Spümcø in general, to a certain extent). Hope ya enjoy the dumb toonies I make if ya stick around!

Though personally, I’d like for them to use the Mike Fontanelli LT artwork more often on merch, they’re a nice mix of the Jones and Clampett vibes

"Bugs Bunny Gets the Boid" (1942) Is a great Bob Clampett cartoon. I love how dumb Beaky Buzzard is. This one has some of my favorite staples of Clampett cartoons: Bugs in drag and a death scene. Such funny drawings!

McKimson is best animator before clampett and himself since 40s

As much as I like TLTS it’s a really big shame these designs never got used for the fully screwball Bob Clampett energy cartoons they were meant for initially since these designs would’ve worked amazingly in with that tone and animation style

My drawing of a cartoon dog that was heavily based on Porky Pig's dog from "Porky's Tire Trouble"

And if you look at a lot of clampett’s cartoons you can see how ren and stimpy drew inspiration with how crazy and energetic the characters are drawn, of course ren and stimpy definitely takes it to another level

Well you know stimpy’s design is inspired by a clampett cartoon
Specifically the cats in the cartoon gruesome twosome

I love how Pete Browngardt has directed two Bugs shorts that are new takes on two specific Clampett shorts with the two characters who are notorious for outsmarting Bugs and getting under his skin.

These shorts in particular feel like such a loving homage to Clampett from Pete.
