Basically Turbo and his crew let their last engineer die
Then they buyed marhen (he's a slave) On his first year he did great at fixing stuff but still being treated like an animal by the crew. only after he show his skill with combat they started to treat him like a brother.

There is a race of biomechanical beings knows as Synthians. Marhen work as an blacksmith for a group of Synthians mercenaries, he makes repairs and craft equipment for the soldiers. Basically nobody treated him well, until he became a soldier, but things go terribly wrong
