That wasn’t me being biased, it’s just plain truth. And yes, of course, we have different tastes when it comes to art, but you can never throw words like “ugly” and “terrible” at them because they never are.

@WitchyElezen What was stellar in the mid-oughts is mediocre now, and we've come to accept mediocrity. A lot of modern anime looks mass produced because it literally is.
That said however, yes, I too prefer the older aesthetic.

rough sketch! first sketch always sucks --> sketch over the first sketch --> settle for mediocrity --> mindlessly slap in flats --> hate the flats and spend forever adjusting values --> RENDERING (BLOWS UP) --> stare at the piece until i decide to post
