I asked my Moots to let me mimics their style !
here's how it went >:)
correct, one of them is a cobra lyndwyr, a Weasel like predator that mimics cobras to scare away larger threats https://t.co/ufrQKYybt4
plenty of them live and thrive in the HE, tho I only currently drawn 1, they are diverse from frugivores, azhdarchid mimics, predatory runners like this one and sea faring ones that eat fish to shellfish on the beach https://t.co/sYT3b9P2q0
Nadine sketch inspired by last week's session and her casting a spell on some mimics in a basement
Everything, as always, is #Mimic
No wonder Love can be so hard to trust
If you love someone as much as I love drawing mimics then you can show that love in a card from #Redbubble

I wonder what this years #Mimics will look like :-P
Everything is always #mimic!
Can get these, and all my mother monster creations, in my fantasy creature collection on redbubble

I am still working on reimagining Venator Anima unique flora that mimics fauna ecosystem ^^
Here's another entry in the species sheet project, the selkies! I tried to balance their original mythical inspiration with my desire to have HUMANOID SEALS. They're skilled magical mimics when they want to go on land, so long as they don't lose their skins...
@Darksilvania I like the idea of making "mimic" pokemon, who evolved to ressemble other pokemon instead of casually evolving to look similar like convergents. A couple of my mons would fit as mimics
LEDYCEIT & LEDYCEPTIV (Bug/Poison)
This spider pokemon have evolved to mimic LEDYBA & LEDIAN which are their natural prey. They'll infiltrate their swarms and separate the weakest members to devour.
Not sure if they should be convergent evolutions or simply mimics
@bogleech Also worth noting that most of the ones you've posted here are actually alternate images made later. The actual original stock art images were more static than these. Most of the gen 3 art mimics the posing of the OG art (you did post the OG Ponyta, though)
@ElptoKiraQueen @OOC_Unova The whole point of Voltorb and Electrode was to fool players into thinking they picked up an item only for them to likely kill you instead. They serve the same roll as mimics in other RPGS
If you wanna talk bad Gen 1 designs lets talk how Seel and Dewgong are just normal animals
Cookie tins = real-world mimics. Enjoy this week's new Beware of Toddler comic!
