Originally it was 出 (to go out) and 買 (to trade). It's been simplified quite a bit.

Mnemonic: A person standing behind a portable table for displaying goods to sell.

Good afternyan! Today I'm covering 買, meaning buy.

This one was challenging to devise a mnemonic for, but the bottom part is 貝, shellfish, so you can think of it as putting shellfish in a bag after purchasing them.

Good afternyan, and here's my for today: 色, color.

I don't really have a good mnemonic for remembering this kanji. suggested a rainbow, like over a waterfall, since that has 7 colors.
