We had an amazing hour and a half discussion about weather with meteorologist Rachel Humphrey in last night. It was so engaging and the audience asked amazing questions! Thanks

The first wonderful review is in for BREAKING THROUGH THE CLOUDS, a biography of America's first female meteorologist! "An energetic, compassionate examination of a determined researcher who left her mark on the field of atmospheric sciences."

I picked up these two! I love the lightning looking tattoos because I am a storm chaser! Then the tv reporter one is just sick because I'm also studying to be a meteorologist! The both fit very well for me!

Mmm. I'll bring up a oc I haven't talked about for a while. Haruna, the meteorologist. I think either earlier this year or last year I thought about what she would be as a spn. I decided a werebunny!

Quick!

Brio can't even keep up with all the metaphorical blows being shot at him one after the other. His mind was spinning at the speed of sound.

So all he could do was stand there and take it, his eyes wide, staring up at the horologist.

Since is next week, we wanted to share this very special painting for
Commissioned in 1954 by Dr. Harry Wexler, a meteorologist with the U.S. Weather Bureau, it imagined what a satellite might "see” from orbit—before the first one was ever launched.

September 2006. Hurricane Julia approaches the US East Coast. Its strange fractal patterns and iridescence can't be explained by meteorologists. Organisms put in contact with it would begin developing odd symptoms in the following days.

It's the last week of (according to astrologists ... meteorologists say it ended a couple of weeks ago!)
This was painted a month or so ago, so a winter scene whichever way you look at it. Looking forward to arriving properly. It's so inspring.

Meteorologists like to split the year up into 3-month seasonal chunks for statistical purposes. Winter in the Northern Hemisphere is considered Dec, Jan & Feb.

This was December on its own.

Anyway I saw a tiktok where it said that when meteorologists say “30% chance of rain” (for example) they don’t mean there is a 30% chance it will rain - there’s a 100% chance it will rain in your area, just over only 30% of it. aka 30% chance it’ll rain ON YOU. T/F, ?
